Podcasting/Audio Recordings
First Christian Church is pleased to offer its first podcast. The word broadcast may be familiar, but you maybe wondering, what’s a podcast? Taken from the name of Apple’s popular digital audio player, the iPod, the word podcast is formed by combining the word pod with the word broadcasting. Podcasting allows people all over the world to hear the lessons we are presenting at First Christian Church.
The recording of the sermon is available as an MP3 file. As an MP3 file, the audio should play on most portable digital audio recorders, including Apple’s iPod, Macintosh computers (using QuickTime or the software of your choice), and Microsoft Windows based computers (using Windows Media Player or the software of your choice). The recording only contains the sermon. Due to licensing restrictions, we can not share our music with you in this format.
The lessons are syndicated through a feed, which means that the lessons can be downloaded without visiting our site. This can be done using a web-based news aggregator, a computer-based news aggregator. Your browser may also support retrieving a list of titles of the lessons and providing a link to the lesson. If the orange syndication icon 
appears in the address bar of your browser, it can be clicked to activate this function. Apple’s iTunes software can also support the automatic download of the audio recordings.
To subscribe to a podcast, copy the address of the Lessons Feed into your news aggregator. To copy the address, either click the link and copy the address from the address bar, or click the link with the right mouse button and select “Copy Link Location” or “Copy Shortcut”.
